Roblox wallhop techniques
Every technique here is written as a sequence of inputs with the timing notes and failure modes that go with it. If we cannot describe something as keys and a window, it is not on this list.

New here? Start with the two Foundation techniques — they cover the client setup that causes most beginner failures — then go to the wallhop. Skipping straight to the advanced variants does not work.
Foundation
Client setup and engine behaviour. Get these wrong and every technique below feels random.
Shift Lock and Camera Control
EasyLock your character's facing to the camera so strafe inputs stay predictable. Almost every failed wallhop starts as a camera problem.
Also called: mouse lock, camera lock, shiftlock
Jump Chaining (Holding Space)
EasyHolding the jump key makes the character jump again the instant it registers a landing. This is the engine behaviour that every wall technique is built on top of.
Also called: bunny hop, hold jump, auto jump, space hold
Wall
Techniques that gain height from contact with vertical surfaces.
The Wallhop
InsaneClimb a vertical shaft by alternating strafe inputs between two facing walls while holding jump. The technique the whole obby exists to teach.
Also called: wall hop, wallhopping, wall bounce, two-wall hop
Corner Hop
HardClimb the corner where two walls meet at right angles by alternating between faces. Easier than a pure wallhop because corners give clearer contact.
Also called: edge hop, corner climb, L-hop
Truss Hop
HardJump off a truss or ladder to gain height faster than climbing it, or to cross to a surface the ladder does not reach.
Also called: ladder hop, ladder jump, truss jump, truss climb
Air
Techniques performed mid-jump, for distance or for recovery.
Headhitter
HardInterrupt a rising jump by hitting a ceiling, causing the character to land immediately and jump again. Used to quickly regain height after an overshoot.
Also called: head hit, ceiling bounce, roof bounce
Gap Jump
NormalCover maximum horizontal distance by jumping at full run speed from the exact edge of a platform. The baseline skill every other technique assumes.
Also called: long jump, running jump, distance jump
Advanced
Multi-axis variants. Attempt these once the base wallhop is automatic.
Zigzag Wallhop
ExtremeA wallhop where the two walls are offset rather than directly facing, so each hop has to travel forward as well as sideways.
Also called: offset wallhop, staggered wallhop, diagonal wallhop
Wraparound Wallhop
ExtremeWallhop while travelling around a corner or pillar, changing your strafe axis mid-climb without losing the jump chain.
Also called: wrap hop, around-the-corner wallhop, pillar hop
Ladder Flick
InsaneAttach to a truss and immediately redirect off it with a fast camera turn, launching in a direction the ladder does not face. Pairs with wallhopping constantly.
Also called: truss flick, flick, ladder flicking
